Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ RCA Nashville) - RCA Nashville recording artist Chuck Wicks' years of honing his songwriting craft and long days working as a valet are continuing to pay off for the singer-songwriter. Wicks' first album Starting Now debuted this week within the Top 10 (No 7) on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and Top 25 (No 24) on the Billboard 200. Making the debut even sweeter is Wicks' single 'Stealing Cinderella' which is approaching Top 10 and is continuing to climb. Wicks is on the road as the opening act on Brad Paisley's Bonfires And Amplifiers Tour, which marks his first major tour. Overwhelmed by the fan reactions to his set, Wicks makes sure to sign autographs every night after the show. Growing up on a farm in Delaware, he is in awe of the number of people who wait each night for his autograph and picture. 'I am having the time of my life on tour with Brad,' explains Wicks. 'I don't know if I'll ever get used to people asking for my autograph but I love spending time with each fan. It definitely blows my mind every night when I see this line of people waiting to meet me.' Starting Now showcases Wicks' vocal talent and the versatility of his songwriting with ten of the eleven tracks co-penned by Wicks. Produced by Monty Powell and Dann Huff, the result is a compelling debut, a collection of songs that demonstrate a depth of artistry not usually found on a first album. Wicks' debut single, 'Stealing Cinderella,' was the fastest rising single from a debut artist in 2007. Wicks co-wrote the song with Rivers Rutherford and George Teren.
