Smithsonian Folkways Recordings Releases 'cELLAbration! A Live Tribute To Ella Jenkins'

Washington, DC (Top40 Charts/ Smithsonian Folkways Recordings) - Smithsonian Folkways Recordings celebrated 50 years with children's music legend, Ella Jenkins, by releasing a DVD � 'cELLAbration! A Live Tribute to Ella Jenkins' � on October 23. Produced by Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer, the live concert tribute features performances by some of the most notable folk and children's musicians including Pete Seeger, Tom Chapin and Sweet Honey In The Rock.

Ella Jenkins has made countless recordings and reaped numerous awards during her 50-year career, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy. Recorded live at the Music Center at Strathmore in Maryland last year, the 'cELLAbration' DVD is the companion to the audio CD which won a GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Album for Children in 2005.
