BOSTON, MA. (Top40 Charts/ Dresden Dolls Official Website) - THE DRESDEN DOLLS kick off a two and a half week headlining tour with a pair of Capitol-area shows on December 27 - an early evening performance at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Washington, DC, followed by a gig later that night at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore. The 14-date tour - which includes a New Year's Eve show at the Grand Ballroom in New York - wraps January 13 at the Norva Theater in Norfolk, Virginia.

"This tour is all about the fun. Everyone's batteries are charged and we're ready to cut loose with the fans and go nuts," says drummer BRIAN VIGLIONE. "I'm looking forward to playing a lot of songs that we didn't get to play on tour last year and pulling out some new surprises - and maybe a rubber chicken or two."

"We're hungry to play again in Dolls formation," adds singer/pianist AMANDA PALMER. "I love the post-hangover time of winter; it's like the last gasp of the holidays coupled with a healthy dose of reflection. We're planning on a simple, stripped-down, go-out-on-stage-destroy kind of show. Of course, I always say that and we wind up with a ton of people on stage, doing weird things. How does that always happen?"

THE DRESDEN DOLLS will be joined by openers Meow Meow, Two Ton Boa and Luminescent Orchestrii on various dates along the trek.

Meanwhile, AMANDA has a pair of American solo dates at the end of the month before heading to Australia in December for a string of solo performances. AMANDA's Ben Folds-produced solo debut, "WHO KILLED AMANDA PALMER," is due early next year.
