NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ GameStop) - Legions of screaming fans turned out to see legendary guitarist, Joe Perry of Aerosmith, at GameStop's flagship New York City store on Sunday, October 28, 2007. The rocking release party and face-off tournament featured Activision's Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock at GameStop (NYSE:GME), the world's largest video game and entertainment software retailer.

'We were thrilled to be part of the launch of one of the season's hottest and most anticipated games and to provide an opportunity for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and Aerosmith fans to jam with Joe,' said Tom DaNapoli, vice president of marketing for GameStop. 'At GameStop, we strive to bring power to the players through events like this that allow gamers to pursue their fantasies.'

Throngs of aspiring rock legends came out to show their skills in a live Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock face-off tournament. Perry, who has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Aerosmith, rocked out with the fans as a judge in the tournament and signed scores of games and guitar controllers.
