Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ RCA Nashville) - RCA Nashville recording artist Chuck Wicks got an unexpected invite this week from University of Tennessee head football coach Phillip Fulmer to perform at his daughter Courtney's wedding. Coach Fulmer was recently listening to WIVK in Knoxville when the station played Wicks' debut single 'Stealing Cinderella,' which tells the touching story of a young man who is asking for his girlfriend's hand in marriage. As a father of three daughters, Coach Fulmer was overcome by emotion for this song and called the station to get in touch with Wicks to invite him to play the song at his daughter's wedding. "This song hit me like a ton of bricks as I was driving back to my office from a luncheon speech,' explains Coach Fulmer. 'I have 3 wonderful daughters, the oldest which is getting married. The song touched me deeply as it was about me and my girls, and the way we all love and adore each other, all the time knowing there will be a time for them to move on with their adult life. The song accurately expressed the emotions of this father having to face giving up his Cinderella.' Wicks immediately accepted the invitation to perform an acoustic version of the single for the intimate reception this past Friday night. The surprise performance and second father/daughter dance of the night didn't leave a dry eye in the place. Wicks, who co-wrote the song with Rivers Rutherford and George Teren, was overcome with emotion himself to see the effect his song had on those in attendance. 'I was so honored to play Coach Fulmer's daughter's wedding,' says Wicks. 'It is one thing to perform in concert but to have a song you wrote touch someone so deeply that they ask for you to perform on one of the most special days of their lives that is incredible.' Wicks celebrated the best new artist launch at country radio for 2007 when 'Stealing Cinderella,' had an impressive impact date September 10 charting with 52 first week stations. The single currently sits at No 30 on the Mediabase country chart and No 31 on the R&R/Billboard country chart.
