Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Aspirion Records) - There's no "sophomore curse" befalling Miko Marks. With her 2nd album in stores now, the honors just keep coming. New Music Weekly has announced nominees for the 2007 New Music Awards and Miko is a candidate for Breakthrough Country Artist of the Year. In 2006, Miko won a New Music Awards as Best New Country Artist for 2006 from New Music Weekly Magazine at a star-studded red carpet event in Los Angeles. The annual awards honor the best in independent music in all genres. The Mirrome Records recording artist was also nominated recently as Female Vocalist of the Year in The Christian Country Music Association's 13th Annual Inspirational Country Music Awards. Marks has also been invited to be a celebrity presenter at the ICM Awards which will be held at Nashville's historic Acuff Theater on Sunday, November 4th, 2007. Miko's latest CD, IT FEELS GOOD, was produced by Grammy-award-wining producer, Ron Cornelius in Nashville and was released during CMA Music Fest. The first single is "The Son My Daddy Never Had", a catchy ride that allows Marks to show her rough-and-tumble side!
