BURBANK, CA. (Top40 Charts/ By Amanda Hanson/ Warner Bros. Records) - THE FLAMING LIPS may just be the hardest working band in show business. In recent months between European and American concert dates, the Lips found time to record a number of brand new tracks in upstate New York and Oklahoma City exclusively for inclusion in a handful of new movies and soundtracks.

"I Was Zapped By The Lucky Super Rainbow" appears in the movie and on the soundtrack for "GOOD LUCK CHUCK," directed by Mark Helfrich and starring Jessica Alba and Dane Cook. The track was recorded at Tarbox Studio and produced by long-time collaborator Dave Fridmann and the Lips. The soundtrack was released by Lion's Gate Records on September 18th, and also features a track, "Accident Prone," by label mates, The Honorary Title. The movie will be in theaters September 21st.

The new Farrelly Brothers movie "THE HEARTBREAK KID" starring Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan features a pair of new Lips originals, "The Horny Frog," and "Maybe I'm Not The One," also recorded and produced by Fridmann and the Lips. The soundtrack on Plan R Records drops October 2nd. Expect the movie in theaters October 5th.

Already in theaters, "THE BROTHERS SOLOMON" from Sony Pictures features the Lips track, "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song," from their current album, "AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS." "SUMMERCAMP!," a documentary by Bradley Beesly and Sarah Price ("The Fearless Freaks," "UFO's At The Zoo") features some film score from the Lips as well.

By now, most everyone is familiar with the latest DELL commercial which features MYSTICS track, "The W.A.N.D." as the music bed. The TV spot has proved so successful that sales of "AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS" have risen dramatically both physically and digitally as a result.

In other TV-related news, "The Creek Runs Red" is a new documentary by director James Payne about the toxic mining town of Picher, Oklahoma. The film will air on the PBS series "Independent Lens" on November 20th, and features a track by the Lips, "Death In Picher." Check local listings for details.

Hot on the heels of the release of their first-ever live DVD/MVI "UFO'S AT THE ZOO: THE LEGENDARY CONCERT IN OKLAHOMA CITY" last month, the band immediately returned to live performance and currently touring the US. Remaining tour dates will be listed below. Expect yet more Lips-related film and TV news to be confirmed shortly.
