Missouri Valley, IO. (Top40 Charts/ NTCMA) - The National Traditional Country Music Association (NTCMA) presented their Rising Legend award to Country Music Singer/Songwriter Dave Jorgenson, following his performance on the main stage during the 32nd annual Olde Time Music Festival in Missouri Valley Iowa, held this past week. This award is presented to young song writers and performers with exceptional talent that are just beginning to be recognized by the industry, as determined by the NTCMA Membership.
'Dave Jorgenson has a very nice traditional country music voice, and we think he is going to do well in the country music business' said Bob Everheart, President of NTCMA as he presented the award. 'We are proud to present this award to Dave.'
'I am honored to receive this award from such a great organization' Dave said. 'Writing and singing Country Music is my passion, and it is wonderful to have my efforts recognized' he added.

During his performance at the Festival, Dave sang 'Misty Eyed', from his first CD Then And Now which reached No 1 on the Traditional Country Music Chart, and 'You Made Hurtin' Me An Art' from his second CD We Have A Winner which is currently No 2 on the chart. He also performed 'Blue's Just A Color' and 'No Way, No How', two more original songs from his CDs. The crowd enthusiastically welcomed their newest 'Rising Legend'.

Dave grew up in rural Kansas, but is now living in Austin Texas. He has been writing songs and performing professionally since high school, and has released two CDs of his original songs. He has opened for several Country Music Legends, including Merle Haggard, Chris Ledoux, and the Bellamy Brothers. Currently, he is performing in Clubs and Dance Halls around central Texas.
