Nashville, TN. (Top 40 Charts/ Pedestal/ Nine North Records) - Pedestal/Nine North duo, The Roys, were on hand recently to help KMPS Seattle recognize a very special person for her work with the local office of the Washington American Red Cross. The station had arranged a special 'KMPS Workbreak' lunch and mini-concert performance by The Roys for Susan Slate, one of the Red Cross staff who was nominated for the work that she does to help people in need.

According to fellow staffer, Ann Byrnes, who nominated Slate, 'Susan has committed her efforts to raising funds for the chapters of the American Red Cross in Washington State. She is a true professional whose desire is to serve people affected by large or small catastrophes that leave them in need of food, a place to stay, clothes. Her belief and commitment to the mission of the Red Cross is contagious. Susan is most deserving of a KMPS work break!'

The Seattle visit was The Roys first trip to the Northwest on their current U.S. radio tour. Lee and Elaine delighted the crowd of over 65 well-wishers with their new single, "Workin' Girl Blues,' and several other favorites, before heading off to stops in Portland, Boise, Monterey, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.
