NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ BNA Entertainment) -
Kellie Pickler is set to perform her single, 'I Wonder,' on ABC's Good Morning
America on Monday, July 23. 'I Wonder,' from her Gold certified debut album, Small Town Girl, is a reflective song that Kellie wrote about her absent mother, who left Kellie as a child. The song is Top 15 and climbing the country singles charts.
'It's a very personal song and I cry almost every time I sing it,' admits Kellie, 'So I better make sure I'm wearing the waterproof mascara that day.' As part of Brad Paisley's Bonfires & Amplifiers Tour, Kellie has the opportunity to perform the song every night, as well as her Top 15 girls' anthem, 'Red High Heels.'
In addition to performing 'I Wonder' on GMA, Kellie will also give viewers a preview of Country Music's hottest concert event of the summer, CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock, which airs that night from 9:00-11:00 PM/ET on the ABC Television Network.
Pickler, who is prominently featured in the special, knows what it's like to have a dream come true and she shared that experience with Kellie McFarland, 19, a diehard Country Music fan who has dreams of running her own record label. Pickler paid a surprise visit at McFarland's Nashville home and took the aspiring record executive on a tour of her record label. The uber fan got the star treatment and experienced what it is like to live like a Country Music star as she and two friends, Tyler Rider, 20, and Melissa Montgomery, 21, hung out with Pickler and were granted an all-access pass to the event.
