Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Southern Museum & Galleries of Photography, Culture & History) - Monty Wanamaker and Chris Keathley, co-directors of the Southern Museum & Galleries of Photography, Culture & History in McMinnville, Tennessee, will publish a commemorative book as a tribute to Dottie West, the late country music superstar, who lost her life in a tragic automobile accident in September 1991. The one hundred page book features a number of never-before-published photographs of the legendary singer/songwriter interspersed within a sensitive and loving biography, written by Paul Potter, the young, adoring president of Miss West's fan club who lives in Sussex, England. The book will also contain a number of personal stories and reminisces written by friends of the late singer especially for the publication. The book is scheduled to be unveiled during the month of October 2007 during the Dottie West Festival at McMinnville's Southern Museum & Galleries with special guest Paul Potter attending. The Southern Museum is mounting a celebratory exhibition of Dottie West memorabilia for the occasion, the highlight of which is to be a large watercolor portrait of Dottie West recently painted by artist Monty Wanamaker, commissioned by her fan club president.
