Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) - Capitol Records-Nashville is pleased to introduce the new and long-awaited radio single from singer, songwriter, recording artist Chris Cagle. Chris, who has been in the studio the last several weeks recording his fourth Capitol-Nashville project, will release 'What Kinda Gone' (Candy Cameron/Chip Davis/Dave Berg) later this month.
The up-tempo, get-up-and-dance tune featuring lyrics that roll right off the tongue is one of seven songs Chris has recorded for his upcoming CD release.
'It's so good to come back to radio with a song that I know is format-friendly, sing-able, unique and comical in content…and I'm very proud of the production,' Chris introduced. 'It's great to have the confidence of my label and the support of an amazing team. I think we're stepping up to the plate with a BIG bat!'
'CUZ THERE'S GONE FOR GOOD
AND THERE'S GOOD AND GONE
AND GONE WITH A LONG BEFORE IT
WISH SHE'D BEEN JUST A LITTLE MORE CLEAR
'CUZ THERE'S GONE FOR THE DAY
THERE'S GONE FOR THE NIGHT
AND GONE FOR THE REST OF YOUR DOGGONE LIFE
IS IT A WHISKEY NIGHT OR JUST A COUPLE BEERS
I MEAN WHAT KINDA GONE ARE WE TALKING BOUT HERE'
With producer Scott Hendricks behind the board (Trace Adkins/Brooks & Dunn/Faith Hill/Alan Jackson), the new music is said to be Chris Cagle 'classic.' 'Chris, the label and I all believe this will be Chris's best album to date. Chris has never sounded better and we have raised the bar as to song selection on this album,' said producer Scott Hendricks who is responsible for Chris's signing with Virgin Records launching his country music career in 2000.
