Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Cold River Records) - Newcomer Katie Armiger is set to perform at the 2007 CMA Music Festival Saturday, June 9th at the 5th Avenue Acoustic Stage in the Crisco Family Zone. Katie's performance, which starts at 12:30pm in the Country Music Hall of Fame Park, will showcase her powerful vocals and skillful songwriting with songs off of her self-titled debut album due out this summer on Cold River Records.

'Performing at the CMA Music Festival is a dream come true for me,' said Katie. 'It's such a huge event that brings country music fans together from all over and I am excited to get my sound out there to a crowd that truly appreciates what country music is all about.'

Katie, a Houston native, has been capturing the attention of everyone who hears her sing. Now thousands of fans who attend CMA Music Festival will get a chance to see what all the fuss is about when Katie takes the 5th Avenue Acoustic Stage to perform her set. Performing self-penned songs off of her debut album Katie will have audience members in awe of what is possible from a 16 year old. Her writing is mature, yet sincere and optimistic and her voice is well beyond her years; strong, skilled, and dramatic.

Last year more than 161,000 fans attended CMA Music Festival, winner of the International Entertainment Buyers Association's 2006 LIVE! Award for Festival of the Year. Now in its 36th year, the Festival (formerly known as Fan Fair) continues to spotlight the unique relationship between Country Music artists and their fans. Half the net proceeds from CMA Music Festival is donated to CMA 's charity program 'Keep the Music Playing,' in partnership with the Nashville Alliance for Public Education (NAPE.)
