Montgomery Gentry will literally make their way across the country and back again leading up to the 42nd Annual Academy of Country
Music Awards where the nominated duo hopes their luck in
Vegas extends beyond the slot machines this year to garner a "Top Vocal Duo" award!
Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry will kick-off their whirlwind early weekend with a performance in New York City on Fox & Friends on Friday, May 11th, then its off to the west coast 'Los Angeles' for a performance of "My Town" on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Friday, May 11th, and then back to New York for an interview and performance on The CBS Early Show on May 12th, all that plus a spotlight in Rolling Stone Magazine"s 40th Anniversary issue, and it doesn"t stop there!
The duo will head straight to Vegas following their performance in New York to host the 4th Annual Academy of Country Music Celebrity Motorcycle Ride to be held on Sunday, May 13, 2007 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Look for the duo on-stage during the Awards show on Tuesday, May 15th as they present an award during the broadcast.
Montgomery Gentry is currently featured in the 40th Anniversary issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands now, as part of Orbit Gum"s double-page fold out, "Playing Dirty" and "Playing Clean." As the only country act in the special section, the duo"s song, "Good Clean Fun," from their My Town CD, made the musical grade for "Top Clean Picks." The boys currently have a Top 15 hit with their single, "Lucky Man," which can be found on their newest release, Some People Change.
The 42nd ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS ceremony will be broadcast LIVE from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 8:00 PM live ET/delayed PT on the CBS Television Network.
