 Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ WestFest Records) - WestFest recording artist Michael Martin Murphey will be appearing as the musical guest of the evening on the CBS broadcast of The David Letterman Show. Taping for the show will take place at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City on May 21st and is tentatively scheduled to air on May 23rd. Michael, who's best known for his hit radio songs including 'Wildfire', 'Carolina In The Pines', 'Geronimo's Cadillac', and 'What's Forever For' has been the recent topic of conversation over the past few weeks on the Letterman show between David and musical director Paul Shafer with regards to Murphey's No 1 hit single 'Wildfire'. Murphey will be performing with Paul Shafer and the CBS Orchestra during the taping. Michael who is a previous Grammy nominee is also a 2007 recipient of the Wrangler Awards along with being recognized for Song of the Year on this year's Texas Music Awards. Michael can also be seen as the host of 'The Best of The West' hunting show on the Men's Outdoor Recreation Network (channel No 218 on Dish and Direct TV). 'Heartland Cowboy/Cowboys Songs Vol. 5' is Michael's newest project, and is available at Wal-Mart and other retail stores across the nation.
