Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/
Liberty Records) - Keith Urban, a long way from home for any country artist, took to the stage for the first night of his 'Love, Pain & the whole crazy World Tour,' before a completely packed, wall-to-wall, standing room only crowd at Tonhalle Hall in Munich.
'Guten tag Munich , it's good to be back,' said Urban, as he took to the stage for the first time in nearly six months, before an ear-splitting, frantic crowd. The more than two hour, blistering performance that has come to define Urban's career featured songs from his latest release 'Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing,' as well as many of the hits that have defined Keith's heralded career.
The crowd sang along, cheered and even got a rare performance of one of Urban's earliest hits, 'You Won,' which was requested just prior to the performance by a young Austrian woman that Keith met via The Make-A-Wish Foundation. Keith even made his way into the audience where he interviewed shocked fans. One had been waiting for four months just to make the drive to Munich from Northern Italy .
And while opening his tour in Germany , another premiere was taking place on the airwaves as Keith's new video for his latest single, 'I Told You So' premiered worldwide on Yahoo!, as well as on CMT and GAC. Directed by Charles Mehling, the video was shot in one day at a soundstage in Studio City in Los Angeles . Next up for Urban? Cologne and Hamburg .
