 Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ 306 Records) - Brad Johner walked away with five major awards following the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards gala at TCU Auditorium in Saskatoon this past weekend. Johner was awarded "Fans Choice Entertainer", "Male Vocalist of the Year", "Single of the Year (I'd Rather Be Lucky)", and "Video of the Year (I'd Rather Be Lucky)". He also won the "SCMA Humanitarian Award" for his continued contributions towards provincial and national charities, including Telemiracle, Food Banks, World Vision, and Special Olympics. His band members were also winners in their respective categories as was his manager, Louis O'Reilly, for "Manager of the Year". "I am deeply humbled by the recognition," commented Johner after the awards show, struggling to hold his five trophies in hand. "Radio stations and fans have been so good to me." Johner, who released his sophomore solo album "Summertown Road" last year, continues his streak of success. In 2006 he garnered several CCMA nominations for "Male Artist of the Year", "Album of the Year", "CMT Video of the Year", "Independent Male Artist of the Year", and "Independent Single of the Year". He also won at Canadian Music Week the coveted indie award for "Favourite Country Artist/Group".
