Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Triple T Records) - Country hitmaker Ty England, a lifelong member of the NRA, has been tapped to perform during the opening ceremonies at the 136th Annual NRA Meetings and Exhibits on Friday, April 13, at America's Center in St. Louis.
'I appreciate that in addition to standing up for the citizens' right to protect themselves and their families, the NRA makes every effort to teach people of all ages with firearm safety programs,' says England.
In February England released his latest CD, Alive and Well and Livin' the Dream, on his own Triple T Records label. He produced the album and wrote most of the songs, all of which reflect his love of traditional country music, the music he learned from his grandfather as a young child.
Several songs on Alive and Well reflect Ty's deep country roots, and his love of hunting and the outdoors. 'It Must Be Colorado' and 'Livin' the Dream' are about the sportsman lifestyle, and the sentiments revealed there led to Ty's writing 'The NRA Song.' 'Stick to Your Guns' is about a father's lessons in responsibility, character and integrity, offered when he gives his son his first rifle.
On the light-hearted side, the album offers 'Texans Hold 'Em,' which spent eight weeks at No 1 on the Texas Music charts, as well as Ty's current single, 'The Perfect Girl.'
England launched his solo career in 1995 after touring the world with his former college roommate, Garth Brooks, as guitar player and harmony vocalist. He's known for his hit singles including 'Should've Asked Her Faster,' 'Smoke in Her Eyes,' 'Redneck Son,' and 'Irresistible You,' and his high-energy concerts make him a staple at county fairs and festivals.
