Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Cbuj Ent) - Carlton Moody and Walter Egan of BURRITO DELUXE visited the Nashville offices of Country Weekly recently to introduce themselves to the staff at country music's most popular mag, and to promote their latest CD, 'Disciples Of The Truth.' Moody and Egan treated the intimate gathering to acoustic versions of the album's rockin' title single, the heart-tugging 'Wichita,' and 'Encino,' an up-tempo tale of old-West bank robbers on the run. And of course, the pair brought plenty of their favorite morning food to share - Breakfast Burritos! Moody and Egan, along with keyboard man, Richard Bell, form the core of BURRITO DELUXE, and they surround themselves in the studio and in concert with other all-star musicians and backing vocalists. It makes for an interesting mix – and one never knows who may pop in to get in on the fun. Moody explains, 'When the late 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow and I put this band together, he said to me, 'Hey, we are 'Deluxe' players – and we'll find other 'Deluxe' players to be in the band with us,' and so, we have always intended for the group to be an evolution of that original idea – always incorporating great new players with fresh ideas." 'Disciples Of The Truth' has won critical acclaim for BURRITO DELUXE and bolstered the band's growing reputation. Robert K. Oermann of Music Row gave high praise, saying the album is 'absolutely essential listening,' and All Music Guide recently called BURRITO DELUXE 'a Country Music Supergroup.' BURRITO DELUXE will return to Nashville with a performance at the CMA Music Festival on June 8.
