 Chandler, AZ (Top40 Charts/ Dawn Records) - Rising country music star Rhonda Towns (Dawn Records) will be performing 'The Star Spangled Banner' to open the Phoenix Suns game at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ on April 11, 2007 (7:00PM MST). In her first performance for an NBA team, more than 19,000 people will see Rhonda sing our nation's anthem as the home team takes on the Seattle Supersonics in front of what is expected to be a sold-out crowd. Rhonda is no stranger to sports fans and has become a major league entertainer. This performance marks the third time she has been invited to sing the anthem for a national sports team. She was on hand to offer her talents to perform an a cappella rendition of 'The Star Spangled Banner' when the Arizona Diamondbacks took on the Florida Marlins at Phoenix's Chase Field last year and she performed again at Kauffman Stadium [home of the Kansas City Royals] over the 2006 Labor Day weekend. Rhonda's most recent release, 'Storm Before the Calm,' * from her acclaimed debut album I WANNA BE LOVED BY YOU (produced by Harold Shedd, Norro Wilson and Jim Cotton) is at radio now. Rhonda is currently in the studio working on her sophomore CD project with Nashville producer Biff Watson (Aaron Tippin, Ty Herndon, Sonya Isaacs, Crystal Bernard, Melinda Schneider) and she will be participating in 2007 CMA Music Festival in June.
