NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Chely Wright Official Website) - Singer, songwriter, recording artist and founder of one of the most prominent music and music education programs in the nation, Chely Wright, has announced the date for the 7th Annual Reading, Writing & Rhythm Benefit Concert. Kicking off this year's CMA Music Festival, the benefit concert and corresponding silent auction will take place Tuesday, June 5, at the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN.

The artists committed to donate their time and talents to perform are Keith Anderson, Emerson Drive, Kellie Pickler, Mindy Smith, Taylor Swift, Trent Tomlinson and Chris Young. More artists will be announced as they are confirmed in the line-up, and as is customary to the show, country fans can expect a number of surprise special guest appearances.

Chely established Reading, Writing & Rhythm in 1999 with the objective of improving the quality of music education in America's public schools and raising public awareness surrounding the importance of music education for our nation's youth.

From the onset of her endeavor, Chely's peers have openly applauded her charge. More and more artists step forward to offer their talents to support the effort making the concert itself a sold-out event, year after year. Last year's event raised over $100,000 for the charity and since its inception just seven years ago, the charity has donated gifts of music, musical instruments and services valued at just over $1 Million to schools and students nationwide.

'I have become graciously humbled and overwhelmed by the outpour of support by my friends in music,' said Wright. 'The music community is a caring and giving one and the success of the event is truly reflective of that.'

Most recently, Rascal Flatts joined in supporting the Reading, Writing & Rhythm campaign. The charity just last week auctioned off a Rascal Flatts Concert Get-Away-a trip for two including show tickets, meet and greet passes, round-trip airline tickets and hotel accommodations. The concert get-away was sold on eBay; all proceeds were donated to RW&R.

This year's event is being sponsored by: American Airlines, BB&T Financial, BMI, Best Buy, Flavour, Harley Davidson of Cool Springs, Shure Mics, Wildhorse Saloon and XM Satellite Radio.

Reading, Writing & Rhythm has drawn the attention of country music fans worldwide as a 'must-attend' event moving CMA Executive Director, Ed Benson, to introduce the benefit concert as an 'unofficial official CMA Festival Event.'
