Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Little Big Town Official Website) - Fresh on the heels of a Platinum certification for their album, The Road To Here, Equity Music Group recording artists Little Big Town picked up two nominations today from the Academy of Country Music: Top Vocal Group and Top New Duo or Vocal Group. The Academy announcement was made live on CBS TV's The Early Show during a special press conference held at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame. The Academy of Country Music Awards Show will air Tuesday, May 15, 2007 on the CBS television network.

Today's announcement follows an extremely successful 12 months for the band. "Last year's ACMs represented our first ever nomination for anything as a band,' said Little Big Town's Jimi Westbrook. 'We are thrilled to be nominated again. Any time your peers recognize your work, it's a great honor."

Little Big Town is currently working on a new album, to be released in the fall of 2007. The band will kick off a major tour of North America with Martina McBride beginning April 2007.
