Nashville, TN (Top40-Charts/ BNA Entertainment) - Pat Sajak and Vanna White welcomed many of country music's hottest and brightest stars to 'spin' the Wheel of Fortune last week. Everyone from Wynonna to Montgomery Gentry to Lonestar appeared to raise money for their charity of choice.

Lonestar's Richie McDonald was the big winner on Wednesday night when he spun and won $61,000 for St. Judes Children's Hospital. Thursday night Lonestar's Michael Britt went to the bonus round and raised $59,350 for Adopt A Platoon (adoptaplatoon.org). Lonestar's Dean Sams and Keech Rainwater both took their shot at the wheel, and although they did not get to the bonus round…they did bring home $10,000 each for their charity of choice.

Wheel of Fortune worked in conjunction with the Country Music Association (CMA) to feature top name country artists for the exciting week of shows. Additionally, the CMA provided exciting prizes for the week of shows including a trip to the 41st Annual CMA Awards in Nashville and a trip to the CMA Music Festival in Nashville.

Wheel of Fortune, which has ranked as television's No 1 syndicated series for 89 consecutive sweeps ratings periods, marked the beginning of its 24th season on September 11, 2006. With over 46 million viewers a week, syndication's longest-running, most successful series continues to attract a larger audience than most primetime TV shows.
