NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ CPI Records) - CPI recording artist, Sonny Burgess was one of several country artists who performed on Saturday, February 3rd at the Grand Finale Event of the National Cattleman's Foundation. The show took place at Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee. He joined three of Nashville's top country music songwriters including Aaron Barker, Allen Shamblin, and Paul Overstreet.

Sonny has already been having a busy year. He has a heavy tour schedule including dates in Iowa, Texas, Tennessee and Kansas. His music is featured on Roy Cooper's "Roping my Dreams" DVD which was released on the January 2007 Volume 50 of CDTex compilation distributed to all country radio. Most recently, Sonny's hand imprints were added to the wall gallery at Billy Bob's legendary club in Texas.

Sonny's current ballad, "A Little Bit Stronger"? in still rising up the Music Row Radio Chart. This was Sonny's third single off his current album, Stronger. The song was co-written by Aaron Barker, who has written hits for other fellow Texans including George Strait, Lonestar, and Willie Nelson.
