Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ 306 Records Canada) - On the heels of his phenomenal success in 2006, Alberta's Shane Yellowbird is set to tour across Canada with established performers Emerson Drive. Joining two of Alberta's most exciting musical exports, the power-packed concert series kicks off in Ottawa on February 6 and ends in Calgary on March 10, with 21 stops from Ontario to B.C. "I'm totally ecstatic about it," says Yellowbird. "I've known Brad (Emerson Drive vocalist Brad Mates) for a while now. To go on tour with these guys – it's awesome." Canadian Country Music Association's group of the year for two consecutive years, Emerson Drive is turning heads south of the border as their current single Countrified Soul cracks the top 10. Their other singles include Fall Into Me and I Should Be Sleeping. "Shane Yellowbird will be a great addition to our show," comments Gerry Leiske of Emerson Drive's management company. "We are proud to have him as our guest artist and are looking forward to a lot of great shows!" Nick Meinema Yellowbird's book agent also added, "This is a great opportunity for Shane to showcase his talents to an already established band's young and vibrant audience." The cowboy-turned-singer will perform an acoustic set of songs from his break out album Life is Calling My Name – including the singles Pickup Truck, They're all About You, and Beautiful Concept. Beautiful Concept netted Yellowbird two Aboriginal People's Choice Music Awards for best single and best video in October.
