
Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Curb Records) - On the heels of a very successful USO/AFE tour in Italy multi-platinum recording artist
Jo Dee Messina heads back to Nashville to join fellow country artists and NASCAR drivers for the two-day Sprint Sound &
Speed event presented by SunTrust, January 12th and 13th. The event, a celebration of country music and Motorsports, will benefit the Country
Music Hall of Fame and Museum charities and the Victory Junction Gang Camp for children with serious illnesses.
'I am really excited to take part in Sound & Speed again this year,' said Jo Dee. 'Last year's event was truly amazing and I have faith that this year will be even better because nothing beats country music and NASCAR, whose fans are usually one in the same.'
Jo Dee will perform Saturday, January 13th at the Goody's Headliner Concert at the Gaylord Entertainment Center . The concert, which starts at 8pm , will also feature performances by Josh Turner and Rodney Atkins.
This two-day celebration of country music and NASCAR gives artists, drivers, and fans an opportunity to experience the best of both worlds all while helping to raise money for two great charities. With over 17,000 people in attendance last year at the inaugural event over $300,000 was raised. The event will have numerous NASCAR Drivers in attendance such as David Stremme, Bobby Hamilton Jr., Michael Waltrip, and Richard Petty as well as several country music artists including Trace Adkins, Lonestar, Trent Willmon, and Craig Morgan.
Tickets are $20 for the Sound & Speed festival and $35 for the Goody's Country Concert and are available on the Sound & Speed website www.soundandspeed2007.com . Each ticket purchased for either the festival or concert will include a one-year subscription to Country Weekly Magazine.
