Houston, TX (Top40 Charts/ Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra) - The Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra has lassoed
Texas recording artist Todd Fritsch for a 'Salute To America's Cowboys' at 2 p.m. on February 25. The FBSO chose Fritsch after hearing his music - and learning that he is an authentic cowboy - and the pairing is a natural fit. The concert, which will include classic western movie themes (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly; Hang 'Em High; The Magnificent Seven), is the orchestra's first cowboy-themed event, and will be held at the Stafford Centre Performing Arts Theatre (Stafford, Texas). As the symphony's special guest, Todd will perform several original tunes, including his European hit, 'Bob Wills Song;' his tribute to the late Chris LeDoux, 'Cowboy Legacy;' and the kickin' western swing number, 'Five Mornings Down.'
Fritsch admits that the symphony is not his typical performance venue; you are more likely to see Todd on large stages such as CMA MusicFest (Nashville) and Billy Bob's At Disney Village (Paris, France), and favorite Texas honky tonks like the Armadillo Palace (Houston). Todd has traveled over 150,000 miles in support of his current CD, TODD FRITSCH, and has won worldwide acclaim with his hits, 'I've Got Mexico,' 'Small Town Radio,' and 'Every Honky Tonkin' Hero (Has His Day).' His current single, 'What's Wrong With Me' (from a soon-to-be- released Diamond Music Group/Spinville Records CD) is already creating a stir at radio stations around the globe.
