Nashville, TN (BGM Records) - Dallas Morning News writer Mario Tarradell has announced his country music Top 10 shows and CD picks for 2006, and BGM Records' LANTANA made both lists. LANTANA shares kudos with fellow Texans George Strait, Dixie Chicks and Willie Nelson, as well as some of country's hottest major acts. The only independent artists named on either list, the ladies of LANTANA were thrilled to learn that their October 6 concert at the State Fair of Texas grabbed a spot on the 'Top 10 Country Shows' list. The group received a rave review from Tarradell, who says, 'Local female country trio knows they'll fight the Dixie Chicks-wannabe tag. Hopefully that will fade as they keep gelling as an entity. This debut gig with the current lineup, Biz Haddock, Karol Ann DeLong and Dalene Richelle, showed so much promise.' The group also landed on Tarradell's 'Top 10 Country CDs' scorecard for their disc, UNBRIDLED. Mario adds, 'The most promising new group of the year comes from our back yard. Local female vocal trio gelled beautifully in the studio, weaving gorgeous harmonies on a batch of memorable cuts, most notably "Country As a City Girl Can Be," "Savin' It Up For Saturday Night" and "Ride 'Em Cowboy."
