The first release off her album, "Say Goodbye', was written by Bonnie Baker, Jason Deere, and Kimberly Lee Keyes and the video can been seen on www.cmt.com.
This spiritual song, 'Say Goodbye', is about a girl who wants to dream but is held back by herself. She finally says goodbye to the girl but hello to a woman. This reflective and self-discovery theme is resonate throughout Nickia's work.
Other songs on the new album include the up-tempo 'Cheater's Road' which is about finding love in all the wrong places in which a girl desperate to feel pretty and smart even if it involves losing her self-respect and jeopardizing the sanctity of marriage.
The single, 'More To This Than That', a duet with label mate, Marty Raybon, that not only showcases Nickia's vocal range but her harmonizing ability. The heart-tugging song is a couple going through a divorce and this song explores their attempt to divide the past and to let go without any arguments.
