Nashville, TN. (Mercury Records) - One of country music's brightest new stars, Gary Nichols has partnered with Dippin' Dots, Inc. for a sponsorship that will support tour dates and his new CD release in 2007.

Nichols, a native of Muscle Shoals, Alabama broke new ground earlier this year with his debut single, 'Unbroken Ground' that made country music fans and industry insiders alike, sit-up and take notice. His latest single, "I Can't Love You Anymore," is a power ballad that showcases his vocal greatness and raw talent, proving once again that Nichols is a world-class singer that stands out from the pack. Both songs are from his self-titled debut album that will be released on Mercury Records in early 2007.

'Gary is an amazing talent and will, no doubt, become one of Nashville's most watched artists in 2007,' said Curt Jones, founder and inventor of Dippin' Dots Ice Cream. 'Our sponsorship seems natural since both our ice cream and music in general is all about fun and entertainment.'

To promote the partnership, Nichols recently performed a passionate, high-energy concert before a group of Dippin' Dots franchisees during their corporate convention in Las Vegas, NV.

'After his acoustical set, everyone was sold!' says Jones. 'Franchisees are now contacting us wanting Gary to perform in conjunction with their store events and at their local fairs and festivals.'

Those requests spurred another idea for the Dippin' Dots/Gary Nichols partnership - 'Dippin' Dots Day at the Fair!' Buddy Lee Attractions, Nichols' booking agency, will work in conjunction with Dippin' Dots to offer special incentives to fairs buyers and festivals who wish to book Nichols by offering a discount coupon to every fair attendee on the day he performs. Coupons may only be redeemed at the Dippin' Dots location at the fair or festival.

"We are very pleased with the association of Dippin' Dots and Gary Nichols,' says Jon Folk of Buddy Lee Attractions. 'This will be a great benefit to Dippin' Dots, Gary and the fairs/festivals throughout the USA.'

In addition to sponsoring tour dates, Dippin' Dots will also promote Nichols' forthcoming album at their 250 retail locations around the country by displaying signage. Customers will also be able to hear a twenty second sample of Nichols' single 'I Can't Love You Anymore' and with a Dippin' Dots purchase, will receive a CD sampler containing 'Unbroken Ground' as well as other samples from the album.
