Nashville, TN (Universal Records South) - Universal Records South recording artist and Minneapolis resident Rockie Lynne will return to the Twin Cities this weekend for a holiday performance at the largest shopping mall in the US, Mall of America®, during the biggest shopping season of the year. With over 40 million visitors each year, The Mall of America is the world's busiest mall, and Lynne will perform a special acoustic show this Saturday, December 2nd, at 5 p.m. in the Mall's Rotunda. In addition to his performance, Lynne will personally greet shoppers and sign autographs.

After spending the past two months in Nashville writing songs for his next album, this will be Lynne's first public appearance in Minneapolis since performing in front of 50,000 people during his October 3rd performance of the National Anthem to kick off the Minnesota Twins' playoff games.

Lynne has been a Minneapolis resident for over five years. He took a calculated risk a few years back and decided to base his live performance and touring career, in country music, out of the Midwest. The move paid off, as it was at a performance in a roadside tavern just outside of Minneapolis where Lynne was 'discovered.' He subsequently landed a record deal with Universal Music and released his self-titled debut CD earlier this year on Universal Records South. His debut single, 'Lipstick,' spent 10 consecutive weeks in the No 1 position atop the country singles sales charts. Lynne was named a Breakout Artist by "Good Morning America," and made his national television debut this summer as part of GMA's Summer Concert Series.

Lynne will be back in Minneapolis later in the month for a New Year's Eve show at the Target Center with Phil Vassar, Little Big Town, Trent Tomlinson and The Lost Trailers.
