The couple exchanged wedding vows on Nov. 11, 2006 in the company of their closest friends and family in a ceremony that celebrated diversity and continuity of love and life -- tying in traditions from around the globe. Kear and Goodwin met in 2003 at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, Tenn., and both share a passion for music and uniting people through their songs. Kear is an acclaimed songwriter whose work has been recorded by top artists including Tim McGraw, Garth Brooks, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jimmy Buffet and Hank Williams Jr. Kear's recent hit, "Before He Cheats," performed by Carrie Underwood, captured the number one spot earlier this month.
Goodwin, a rising country music star, recently earned Single of the Year at the 2006 Los Angeles Music Award for her duet, "Crazy," featuring Willie Nelson. Earlier this year, the hit duet earned a nomination for the prestigious European Country Music Awards. Goodwin's powerful voice and lyrics have garnered support from industry icons around the globe. Playing to thousands of fans in over 11 cities across 8 countries, Goodwin recently finished her "Uniting the World Through Music Tour" in Europe.
