New York, NY (Icarian Records) -- New York City's book-smart indie rock trio Dylan Nirvana with new EP on Icarian Records will play Lit Lounge and Warsaw on November 16 and 28, respectively.

As a band, Dylan Nirvana is at the heart of a very interconnected music scene on New York's Lower East Side reaching to South London. Dylan very much on guitar & vocals, with the serious Paul Alves (from the New Professionals) on bass & vocals and the delirious Viveca Butler (from DayGlow) on drums. This is a damn good and very much watched band.

As an artist Dylan Nirvana shows himself to be a kind of literary rocker. The lyrics are smart and funny. The audacious name and smirking personality are the beginning of a very unexpected journey into some unusual stories and a very original sound. The biggest influences are paradoxically the Sex Pistols and the Smiths. But it may be hard to tell if its Rotten or Morrissey that is the main inspiration.

Gorgeous, poetic... Screechy (can't win 'em all) -- Urban Folk Zine
New York City Rock'n Roll -- Brockley London Music Festival
Like Elvis Costello... Morrissey meets Motörhead -- The Village Voice
CBGB's Pint-sized bleached-hair punk-rocker... (for Christ's sake!) -- New York Magazine

The songs on Pentagonal Flower include KT-88, ElectroEcstatic, Magdelane You and Broken Down Train.
