BURBANK, CA (Warner Bros. Records) -- With a no-holds-barred headlining arena tour of the U.S. and a series of raucous festival dates in Europe under their belts, Taking Back Sunday have announced they will play a series of Christmas radio shows beginning December 1st in Orlando, Florida.

Taking Back Sunday released their certified gold album, "Louder Now," on Warner Bros. Records on April 23rd. The album skyrocketed to Number Two on Billboard's Top 200 chart a week later, scanning more than 157,000 units, spawning hit single "MakeDamSure," which was a Modern Rock Top 10 record for just under two months. A MySpace.com favorite, Taking Back Sunday has had over 25 million streams since adding songs off of their newest album to their MySpace page.

With "Louder Now," Adam Lazzara (vocals), Fred Mascherino (guitar/vocals), Eddie Reyes (guitar), Matt Rubano (bass) and Mark O'Connell (drums), capture the intensity generated during their explosive live performances. "This is the record we have always wanted to make," says Lazzara. "We brought in every element from every influence we've ever had."

mtvU, MTV's college network, has announced that Taking Back Sunday has won a 2006 mtvU Woodie Award for Best Tour, an honor voted on by a college audience. The awards were simulcast on November 2nd on mtvU.com, mtvUber (www.mtvu.com/music/woodie_awards/2006/), and mtvU Mobile. A 30-minute version of the show aired on MTV on November 4th and MTV2 on November 5th.
