Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush have received almost every accolade a new country duo can receive. Now, as they start out on a new journey releasing their sophomore album, ENJOY THE RIDE (in stores November 7), CMT captures all the excitement and anticipation in the one-hour special IN THE MOMENT: SUGARLAND premiering Saturday, November 4 at 10:00 - 11:00 p.m., ET/PT.
In this latest installment, IN THE MOMENT: SUGARLAND, CMT follows Nettles and Bush as they embark on a promotional tour for their new release, performing for packed houses and debuting new music to fans. From blowout shows in Las Vegas, to exclusive backstage moments at the 2006 CMT Music Awards and a personal visit to Bush's home in Atlanta, CMT brings viewers into the hectic lives of Sugarland.
Sugarland, the chart-topping singer-songwriter group consisting of Nettles and Bush, have topped the charts since their Mercury Nashville debut TWICE THE SPEED OF LIFE hit stores. In the two years since the No 2 single "Baby Girl" put Sugarland on the map, they have accomplished more than anyone ever expected, with almost three million copies sold of TWICE THE SPEED OF LIFE, an American Music Award for "Favorite Breakthrough Artist," an Academy of Country Music Award for "New Duo/Group of the Year," a Grammy nomination for "Best New Artist," six CMA nominations, arena tours from coast-to-coast and appearances on national TV shows such as "The Tonight Show" and "Good Morning America." Also, radio and fans alike have embraced all of their singles: "Baby Girl," "Something More," "Just Might (Make Me Believe)" and "Down in Mississippi (Up To No Good)."
