The 16th annual Los Angeles Music Awards seeks to recognize and honor independent music luminaries across the country, and is the longest-running awards program of its kind. The event takes place on Nov. 9, 2006 at the Music Box Theater in Hollywood, California.

A fresh face on the country music scene, newcomer Goodwin has been traveling the globe, climbing to the top of European country music charts and earning prestigious industry accolades and recognition along the way. Goodwin's Uniting The World Through Music Tour swept through 11 European cities in 8 countries last month. And her recent "Baby Come Back Home Tour" took Goodwin to over 15 military bases in the Middle East where she delivered a 15-mile letter to the troops.

"Music is my passion and making music that transcends cultural, racial and language barriers, and that unites people through a common channel is my ambition," said Goodwin. "I am truly honored and excited to be a Los Angeles Music Award nominee. I am so happy that my music has been able to reach people around the world from Los Angeles to Europe to the Middle East. I am truly fortunate to have such amazing fans that continue to support me in all of my endeavors."

Goodwin's self-titled album, produced by Grammy Award winner Carl Jackson, features hit singles like "Crazy," "Baby Come Back Home," and "Just Another Mountain" and is available at carlygoodwin.com, amazon.com, and iTunes.
