LOS ANGELES (Miko Marks Official Website) - The Awards will be held on November 18th at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood. Voting is open to the public at www.newmusicweekly.com

Miko's debut album, Freeway Bound features the hit singles, "Kickin' Back", "Mama" and the title cut. Miko has traveled from coast-to-coast to promote the project, which has received a warm response from radio stations in the US and abroad. Her first music video for "Mama" stars friend and R&B singer Erykah Badu in the title role.

Miko recently headlined a stage at the Black Family Reunion Conference on the Capitol Mall in Washington DC. She is scheduled to begin work on her next album in November in Nashville at Fun House Studios.
