WARRENTON, VA (Top40 Charts/ windmill-international.com) - Windmill International donated 50 tickets to the Toby Keith Concert this past weekend at the Nissan Pavilion to service members from Walter Reed Army Hospital and the National Naval Medical Center. The event, a partnership with the USO of Metropolitan Washington, was an opportunity for service members to see the popular country music star and enjoy a night out.

"This was fun. No one deserves this more than these men and women and I'm just really glad we had the opportunity to work with the USO of Metropolitan Washington to host them. Toby put on a great show and recognized our troops in attendance from the stage and in several songs which meant a lot to them and to the audience," said Doug Combs, Windmill founder. "Toby went above and beyond by having these guys backstage and he asked the audience several times to stand up in their honor. Their pride and sacrifice moved the audience; these young warriors were really touched by the outpouring of love and support."

The concert outing was called the "USO Excursion, Sponsored by Windmill International" and allowed the service members the chance to see a major music act for free. In April, before the concert season was underway, Windmill chose Toby Keith because of his well-known patriotism and support for the military. Despite the sold-out status even before tickets went on sale, Windmill was able to reserve a block of 50 seats with the help of Live Nation.

One attendee, Marine Corporal Anthony Lazzano, sat with Windmill Founder Doug Combs and his wife during the concert. "The whole night had a strong patriotic theme. Mr. Combs' wife told us that our patriotism and pride reminded her of her husband when they first met. She saw his love of country from the moment she met him as a young Marine serving on Embassy guard duty in Prague 20 years ago. The event was a great and unforgettable time."

Another attendee, Marine Corporal Estabahn Diaz-Rocha, who was recently injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Iraq, said, "It was great meeting Doug Combs at the Toby Keith concert. I get motivated by Marines out there like Mr. Combs who've served their generation's threat and go on living by the motto 'once a Marine always a Marine.' After my medical discharge, I hope to continue that tradition of looking out for future Marines. Not everyone takes the time out of their lives to look out for the guys currently serving. I take pride that we're all brothers; regardless of generation, a Marine is always a Marine."

Adrienne Trout, Vice President of Communications and Development for the USO of Metropolitan Washington, added, "These events are the reason our partnerships with companies and organizations are so important. People like Doug Combs understand the mission we have and we are so thrilled to work with them for the benefit of today's men and women in the military."

The tickets were purchased by Windmill last spring and the USO helped facilitate the trip. "Supporting the men and women in uniform is something we like doing. Windmill is a company made up of mostly former service members and we will continue to do what we can to honor these men and women," said Peter Majeranowski, Windmill's Chief Operating Officer and a former naval officer.
Based in Virginia, Windmill International provides high-quality financial and government services in Central and Eastern Europe.
