Europe and other parts of the world - as a solo artist, with his brothers (The Moody Brothers), and with his current band BURRITO DELUXE. On November 18th in Paris, Moody will be presented with The International Country Artist Achievement Award for his dedication to the music he loves at a VIP reception sponsored by Planet Hollywood and Disneyland Paris. Following the invitation-only affair, Carlton will hit the stage at Billy Bob's in Disney Village with Burrito Deluxe, officially launching their new CD,
Disciples Of The Truth, in Europe.
The event, billed as an evening of recognition and entertainment, begins with a private VIP reception at Planet Hollywood at 6:00p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. concert at Billy Bob's in Disney Village, which is open to the public. Moody has enjoyed a very special relationship with Disneyland Paris, Disney Village and Billy Bob's Country Saloon since their opening in 1992. He and his brothers brought authentic country music to France with their multi-instrumental talents and three-part harmonies, entertaining tens of thousand of visitors from all over Europe from the Billy Bob's stage. Moody has been credited with paving the way to bringing live country music to the forefront in Europe.
While still working with Disney, Carlton brought other celebrated Nashville artists to perform with him for extended periods of time, which brought another dimension to the nightly concerts. The list of artists included: bassist/songwriter JOE ALLEN (Neil Young, Johnny Cash, Crystal Gayle); JOE MCGLOHAN (Reba McEntire's long-time band leader); singer/songwriter EARL BUD LEE ('Friends in Low Places') and GEORGE HAMILTON V. In addition, he served as a liaison helping to secure top-notch Nashville artists-Radney Foster, Charlie Daniels, Rob Crosby, Kevin Sharp, Asleep at the Wheel-for concerts at the country festivals in Disney Village. As a result, many new festivals were created all over France due to the popularity of country music promoted by Disney, and Moody has graced the stage at most of them.
