Trace Adkins Scores First Double Platinum Album

The multi- Platinum star just got the news today that he has earned his first Double-Platinum (2 millions units sold) album of his career with Songs About Me. This certification comes on the heels of the news he received just last week that his newest album Dangerous Man was certified Gold (500,000 copies sold) in the very same week that his Greatest Hits Collection; Volume 1 was certified Platinum® by the Recording Industry Association of America (1 million copies sold).

Propelled by the cross-genre phenomena 'Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,' Songs About Me had 15 consecutive weeks of increased sales after the release of the smash single. The sales expanded beyond actual albums with extraordinary Ring tunes sales and iTunes downloads.
