Raul Malo To Be Featured On NPR 'All Things Considered' September 22

The show is broadcast nationwide on all 848 of NPR's affiliate stations. Malo sat down with All Things Considered host Melissa Bloch to talk about his new solo CD You're Only Lonely, released this summer on Sanctuary Records. The album has been hailed in the press nationwide as 'the most romantic record of the year,' and has rapidly become one of the year's most critically acclaimed releases.

The interview focuses on Malo's interpretations of the iconic songs that comprise the album, from the genesis of the idea of an award-winning songwriter recording songs made famous by others, to the intricacies of working with uber-producer Peter Asher. Malo offers a candid look inside the project, from how the songs were selected, to what he learned from Asher, to the positives and negatives of touring and recording as a solo artist. The segment will also feature music from the CD.
