Nashville, TN. (Mercury Records) - The Randy Rogers Band continues to turn heads this week with their Mercury Records Nashville debut JUST A MATTER OF TIME. The band scanned 15,356 copies of the album the first week in stores landing at No 8 on the Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart. Last week the band heard their album reached No 1 on iTunes as the most downloaded country album, ahead of country giant Rascal Flatts. The news came as rave reviews began to pour in..."Rogers boasts loads of grit, swagger and heart. There's nobody on the country charts that does the Southern-rock thing better," said USA Today. The frenzy came to a boil as thousands of fans lined up wall to wall at in-store appearances to catch a glimpse of the band as they traveled across the country on radio and media tour. In just three in-store appearances the band sold over 3,400 copies of their album. A staggering number bolstered by sales of over 2,200 units at one Wherehouse Music appearance alone. Yesterday, Transworld announced that the band's numbers ranked as one of their top selling appearances of all time. Rogers and his band turned in an electrifying performance two weeks ago at the Red Dirt Round Up where over 10,000 fans sang along with band...song after song, word for word. Last Sunday the band turned in another stellar performance at Austin City Limits Music Festival where fans from across the country lined up to grab an autograph and take pictures after their set. Already a favorite among industry veterans, Rogers just landed a cut "Down And Out" on the upcoming Lee Ann Womack album FINDING MY WAY BACK HOME, to be released early next year on Mercury Records Nashville. "If you haven't checked out Randy Rogers yet...I encourage you to do so," said Womack. "His voice and songwriting is genuine and refreshing, I look forward to seeing what he brings to our format." You'll get a chance to check Rogers out for yourself as he continues to tour with Dierks Bentley across the country. For a list of dates log onto www.randyrogersband.com.
