Nashville, TN (Equity Music Group) - Equity Music Group recording artists Carolina Rain will release their debut CD Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Titled Weather the Storm, the group is already seeing big success with their single, 'Get Outta My Way.'

Fans who missed last week's video premier for the hit single will have another opportunity to see it when the group appears on GAC Nights, airing September 21st. Rhean Boyer, Marvin Evatt and Jeremy Baxter join show host Suzanne Alexander for a lively visit, and introduce the video to show viewers. Prior to Nights, fans can also catch Carolina Rain on GAC's Streets, airing September 19th.

Scripps Howard columnist Ronna Rubin will also feature the band in her September 25th column, syndicated in 400 plus newspapers nationwide.

Carolina Rain's debut is already creating great advance buzz. Noted music critic Jeff Tamarkin says, 'Carolina Rain are at their most effective when they keep it all close, pickin' their acoustic instruments and bringing those voices together… 'Get Outta My Way,' the only track on the album not written at least partially by a band member, finds the trio so seamlessly entwined that the individual voices simply fuse into one.' Music critic Carrie Pitzer of the Norfolk Daily News calls Weather the Storm 'a nearly perfect debut' and adds that
'Carolina Rain slipped the art back into country artists when nobody was looking.'
