Nashville, TN (DANKER & DANKER PUBLIC RELATIONS) - Although Nashville musician, comedian, and lawyer Jesse Goldberg admits his latest release, "I Used to Be a Liberal" was inspired by a saying he heard both Donnie Deutsch (The Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch) and Rush Limbaugh (The Rush Limbaugh Show) use on their television programs, "a conservative is a liberal who got mugged."

Goldberg also claims that Geraldo Rivera's evolution from a liberal reporter who once exposed institutional corruption, to the conservative talk show host who recently lambasted comedians Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert for bad taste, helped inspire the his song which describes the change in behavior between followers of the two ideologies.

"Rivera started out as an idealistic liberal journalist exposing corruption. Now he's a conservative talk show host who rants about comedy talk shows. When did he get mugged?" asks Mr. Goldberg. "But really it's his evolution that helped inspire me to write a song that both Liberals and Conservatives can hate. As always, I'm proud to be an equal opportunity offender."

Political flip-flops are wonderful fodder for anyone with Goldberg's sense of humor. "I Used to Be a Liberal" includes the lyrics: "I believed in welfare, tax the rich and to feed the poor, but now that I've got money I don't feel that way no more. Tear up those union labels...but God bless the USA." and "I sympathized with prisoners now I say fry those thugs. Hunt down all those Democrats and squish them like bugs."

Jesse enjoys writing and singing about what he knows best, the funny side of modern life. Besides "I Used to Be a Liberal," Jesse's "Solid Goldberg" album also includes fan favorites, such as "Prenuptial Agreement," "The Civil War is Over," and "Southern Baptist Jew."

Internet wire services, including Wireless Flash News and Mancow are starting to buzz about Goldberg, the singing lawyer comedian. But Goldberg is also recognized as the musician whose song "Its Honeymooner Time" was produced into a music video for Showtime and won a cable TV Ace Award.

Goldberg fans look forward to his frequent contributions to the Dr. Demento Show, especially his hit "White Spots." He's also gained fans with his performances at the Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Bluebird Cafe

Lucky Nashville area fans watch Goldberg weekly on three area television shows, "Mind Your Own Music Business," "The Songwriter's Show," and "Common Law." Details of these programs, as well as clips from his CDs can be found at https://www.jessegoldberg.com.

Just in case you aren't already aware of Geraldo's recent comments, he responded to Bill O'Reilly on August 2, "You know, Comedy Central is now a big hit, Stewart and the Colbert guy. ... They make a living putting on video of old ladies slipping on ice and people laughing. That's their life. That's their life. They exist in a small little place where they count for nothing."
