NASHVILLE, TN (Grascals Official Website) - The Grascals make an impressive debut with their new Rounder release, Long List of Heartaches, entering the Billboard Top Bluegrass Albums chart at No 2 this week (issue date Sept. 16). The album was also among the most downloaded from the CMT hub on URGE.

The band has been nominated for Entertainer of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year at the upcoming International Bluegrass Music Awards, to be held at the Grand Ole Opry House on September 28. They also picked up a nod for Album of the Year for their participation in Celebration of Life: Musicians Against Childhood Cancer.

Long List of Heartaches, the follow-up to The Grascals' Grammy-nominated debut album, continues to earn critical praise. It was the CD Pick in the September 1 edition of the The Boston Globe, with reviewer Steve Morse writing, 'They are astonishing instrumentalists (several members used to back the Osborne Brothers). They feature two outrageously skilled lead singers (Terry Eldredge and Jamie Johnson), and they already command enough respect to entice such guests as George Jones, Dierks Bentley, the Jordanaires, and Steve Wariner into the studio this time . . . The guests are special, but the Grascals, even without the help, are a must-listen for fans who like their bluegrass delivered with some country grit.'

Kyle Cantrell of XM Satellite Radio states, 'If it were possible to top their debut album, the Grascals have done it. With an all-star cast, stellar musicianship, top-flight songs, and incredible vocals, Long List of Heartaches is a can't-miss.'

This week The Grascals will kick off the new season of the weekly syndicated Red Barn Radio show, taping an interview and performance in front of a live audience at Arts Place in downtown Lexington on September 13.
On September 21 The Grascals will be featured on GAC's Country Music Across America, airing at 9 p.m. (eastern).
