LOS ANGELES, CA. (Capitol Records) - OK Go has unleashed another viral sensation with their latest homemade video, "Here It Goes Again," which features the intrepid foursome doing a synchronized treadmill routine while singing about the vertigo of waking up after a one-night stand. "Here It Goes Again" has been viewed an astounding 3.5 million times already on youtube.com, where it ranked as one of YouTube's Top 10 videos of all time after only two weeks. "Here It Goes Again" was recently featured in a CBS "The Early Show" segment on the video and the YouTube phenomenon and OK Go lead singer/guitarist Damian Kulash guested on Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report" last night. The video has been added by VH1 (where it was just upped to X-LARGE rotation and is ensconced in The V Spot Top 20 Countdown), MTV (in BIG 10 rotation), FUSE and mtvU. Clear Channel Online has featured "Here It Goes Again" in their Video on Demand Video Faves and Video Battle sections of their Pop and Alternative Sites.

Now, for the first time ever, OK Go will perform "Here It Goes Again" live on treadmills when the band performs at MTV's Video Music Awards on Thursday, August 31st. Other performers/presenters on MTV's Video Music Awards include 50 Cent, Axl Rose, The Raconteurs, T.I. and many others. Provided they survive this feat (tune in at 8:00 pm so you don't miss anything), they will perform on "Good Morning America" on September 6th, then embark on a European/U.K. tour with Motion City Soundtrack. OK Go has just been confirmed as openers for Death Cab For Cutie on a series of U.S. dates this November. Details for OK Go's own headlining North American tour are currently being finalized.

Described by Entertainment Weekly as "fresh slices of power-chord sunshine," OK Go's Oh No debuted at No 1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart (as did their 2002 self-titled debut). The phenomenal success of the "Here It Goes Again" video has now propelled Oh No, which was released a year ago, into iTunes' Top 25. The video for the album's first single, "A Million Ways," was recently screened at the prestigious Edinburgh International Independent Film Festival and has the distinction of being the most-downloaded video in music history - both remarkable achievements for a low-budget ($4.99 - the cost of the videotape) effort that simply featured the band dancing in their backyard. "A Million Ways" spawned so many imitators that OK Go was inspired to create the OK Go Dances With You(Tube) Contest, in which hundreds of fans have sent in versions of the dance in hopes of winning a shot at performing live with the band. https://youtube.com/group/okgodance.

OK Go has been all over primetime network television lately, performing "Do What You Want" (another hit from Oh No) in commercials for JC Penney's national back-to-school ad campaign, and "Invincible" has been tapped to be a theme song for the NCAA Saturday Night Primetime Football games airing on ABC this fall.
