NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - David Bowie has enlisted the help of an old and a new rocker for his next album, Heathen.

The Who's Pete Townshend has laid down lead guitar parts to the album's lead track, "Slow Burn," which also features the Borneo Horns. (The Horns were on Bowie's Serious Moonlight tour.) In a statement released on Friday (April 5), Bowie says it's "the most eccentric and aggressive guitar I've heard Pete play, quite unlike anything else he's done recently."

Although the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl has also contributed guitar parts to the album, the song he appears on has not been revealed.
Other songs on the album, which is due June 11, include:

"I Would Be Your Slave,"
"Afraid," "Marching,"
"Wood Jackson,"
"5:15 the Angels Have Gone,"
"Heathen,"
"Slip Away,"
"Everyone Says Hi,"
"Sunday" (remixed by Moby), and
"A Better Future" (remixed by Air).

As previously reported, Bowie announced the formation of his own ISO Records shortly after parting ways with Virgin, and then inked a deal for the label with Columbia Records in March. Heathen is due June 11.
