NASHVILLE, TN. (MOORE Media) -Lantana is breaking barriers with the nationwide release of UNBRIDLED (BGM Records) on September 5. Biz Haddock, Karol Ann DeLong and Dalene Richelle are Lantana - but they are not your average "girl" group. Ranging in age from 34 to 40, these women have already enjoyed successful solo careers - and now they've joined forces to create an edgy, high-energy country sound that can only be described as revolutionary. "We see our life experiences as a plus," says Haddock. "We're not afraid to buck the "youth" trend. UNBRIDLED contains 13 sides that explore the female experience. The album's first single, "Country As A City Girl Can Be," has been called "rockin'" by Music Row's Robert K. Oermann. A sassy tip of the hat to all things country, the track is a surefire radio hit-in-the-making. Biz, Karol Ann and Dalene trade out on the lead vocal, and the soaring harmonies are soon to become the group's trademark. "Give" is a song about loving, laughing, living and giving. Airy and bright, the acoustic feel of the track is the perfect complement to Karol Ann's rangy alto. The three women trade vocals again on "Savin' It Up For Saturday Night," a dance hall delight replete with sawing fiddles, a solid kick drum and a rousing chorus. The group's first collaboration, "The Juice Just Ain't Worth The Squeeze," is a rollicking banjo driven up-tempo that delivers a down and dirty message. Dalene takes the mic for "No Trespassin'," a straight forward warning that cheating will not be tolerated - and she rips through the blazing toe-tapper without missing a beat. One of the most traditional country songs on the album, the track treads a contemporary line with solid boogie-woogie keyboarding and flawless electric guitar. This album proves that the women of Lantana are not afraid to explore, to reach and to push each other. The trio is breaking barriers and bucking trends - with their music, their style and their age. UNBRIDLED is exactly that: unrestrained and freely expressed music that will appeal to women - and men - of all ages. Log on to www.lantanamusic.com for Hi-res jpegs, sound clips and more.
