Greenville, TX (GUY HILL MUSIC) - Guy Hill has been writing songs for 33 years. Hill was born in Austin Texas and now lives in Greenville, Texas, about an hour from Dallas.

Hill has caught the eye of several major country recording artists as a result of his songs being pitched to them through LucKi Entertainment, LLC. Artists such as Gretchen Wilson, John Anderson, Hank Williams, Jr., Kentucky Headhunters, George Strait, Chris LaDoux, Cimarron, Pam Tillis, George Jones, Dwight Yoakum, Steve Holy, Chris Cagle, Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, George Canyon and Randy Travis, and others.

His earliest musical influence was Hank Williams. Hill used to listen to his records as a small child. Hill also listened to his Aunt's 50's rock and roll records. Hill began making up songs to entertain himself at a very early age.

When he was 18 he got his first guitar. Hill taught himself to play. He practiced constantly taking the guitar with him everywhere he went. The first song he learned to play was "Don't Be Angry" by Stonewall Jackson. It was then he began songwriting in earnest. By this time Hill's musical influences were Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, the Eagles, Gram Parsons, Rodney Crowell, Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, George Jones, EmmyLou Harris, and others.

In 1980 Hill joined a band as a singer/songwriter and rhythm guitar player. Hill says it was great hearing people cheer and applaud after performing one of his songs.

Due to the constant performing Hill's songwriting began to suffer as he had less and less time to devote to songwriting. HeI left the band so he could concentrate on songwriting.

After Hill had built an extensive collection of good songs he began mailing demos to publishers, record labels and recording artists.

Hill wrote a song called "Angels Unaware" which received a lot of airplay at radio station; KIKT 93.5 FM.

In 2002 Hill sent a demo to a prominent songplugger in Nashville Tennessee and was subsequently signed to a publishing contract.

In early 2003, Hill met Kim Venturo, President, LucKi Entertainment, LLC. Through Venturo, Hill met James Lucente, CEO, LucKi Entertainment. Along with Hill's Nashville songplugger, the duo was responsible for getting Hill's songs pitched to the major artists listed above. https://www.luckientertainment.com.

Hill's main desire is to have his songs recorded by successful artists, major or independent. Hill writes country and gospel songs and performs in small venues in the greater Dallas area. Hill has a 10 song CD entitled, "Arms of your Memory."
