NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Van Morrison returns with a new album, Down the Road, slated for a May 14 release on Universal.

The album includes 13 new songs, as well as covers of Hoagy Carmichael's classic "Georgia on My Mind," which Morrison has regularly performed live, and Acker Bilk's "Evening Shadows," an instrumental song that Morrison added his own lyrics to. Bilk is featured on the track performing a clarinet solo.

The first single from the album, "Hey Mr. DJ", will hit radio on April 16.
